Tell me again how he’s a dick who doesn’t care about Cas, who left him there with no hesitation & no second thought. Come on, tell me, I dare you!
“Hey, Cas.”
The only indication that the angel was listening on the other line was a startled intake of breath, then a distracted, “Dean.”
Dean shifted restlessly in his spot on the motel couch, holding the phone a little closer to his ear, “Heard you finally got a bit of rest, huh?”
“Yes. I was awoken by-” Castiel stopped mid-sentence, gasping, and there was the sound of the phone clattering...
