Yeah so apparently Jerry Wanek (production designer for SPN) told us this tidbit and I was curious.  I have no idea about the “clue” (for what?  about what?) but I do know that this whole design aesthetic reminded me VERY MUCH of Hammer of the Gods (season 5 episode 19).

So like I said here about that news, I’m really thinking more and more that it can be possible ^^ What else appart bringging back Bobby (which is more difficult) could make a lot of people happy ? ;)

There are maybe at least two possiblities for them to bring him back :

- he really survived, but just had to take his time to reform himself maybe ?

- or, and I like this idea better especially because of the hourglasses, we woyld have a Gabriel from the past, the one that travelled to the future (like he said to Kali, he looked a bit) so before his death That could be a timey-wimey episode with lots of problem with continuity (well he would know then he is dead, AND tho he would know that Lucifer got caged back and so wouldn’t say the same things he said in the 5x19 etc)

So I don’t know but I’d like that a lot, even if it’s just for one episode. But it could be like someone said, that there is something fishy in season 8 and that the events we are seeing aren’t occuring in the right order for some reason (because of the angels ?).

But it’s definitely interesting, those bastards from the crew, they are having fun hahaha, can’t wait !

I don’t know if it’s of any relevance, but both a square-within-a-square and a rotating hexagon are representative of a tesseract, also called Metatron’s Cube.

The hint has to do with time, right? I recall a very interesting lisence plate from 8x12 that stated the year was 2013.  

But isn’t the show supposed to have skipped ahead two years, due to the year between seasons five and six and the year between seasons seven and eight? Aren’t we supposed to be in 2015 by now?

If time has looped back by two years, wouldn’t we be back in the middle of, what, season seven?  Bobby would already be dead.  Cas would still be presumed dead, so naturally Sam and Dean wouldn’t be talking about him.

Does this theory make any sense? 

Alternatively, I’d love this to be the alternate universe where the endverse happens.
